Sculpture # 233
#233
In the collecting of materials fragments of other works wait their turn to find a new placement in the re-visioning of objects.
This one has wood-putty-dipped crochet as the starting point. It evolved randomly from there. . .while on bus trips and ferry rides.

Distort Sculpture 199
The recycled paper tubing liner used in this work once held tarred netting line. The lines of its history remain on the paper surface and I've held on to it for years. . . that ever growing bin of "possibilities" . . It has now has it's new home in this latest sculpture to join the Distorts Installation.

Distort Sculpture # 195
Objects at the studio are taking on new life these days . . . this is a net buoy .. rescued at an antiques flea market.
Distort sculpture # 194
This work has gone through an extensive process to get to this place. First in service as a studio mop . . than giant paint brush, clipped and shaped, hanging around the studio for the past several years like a sentinel . . . then bound in this final crocheted form.
